Land trusts play a crucial role in addressing the climate crisis

As we scramble to find creative solutions to address our warming atmosphere, be that through individual efforts, like switching to electric vehicles, or larger scale municipal programs such as shifts to clean energy, it can be easy to overlook what’s right in front of our noses.

Or, in this case, under our feet: the land. It’s critical that we don’t keep our climate eyes so focused on the bigger atmospheric picture that we lose sight of what’s right here. Doing so puts us at risk of missing the trees for the forest, if you will.
